Show Me Your Feet

Happy Monday people!

How proud are you of your feet?

Jesus demonstrated his willingness to serve others by performing the lowliest of tasks; washing the disciples feet!

The disciples might have been embarrassed by the state of their feet; those corny toes, bunions, cracked heels, ingrowing toe nails and moist feet. Simply put….very smelly feet!.

What did Jesus think when he saw those feet? Imagine performing this task for twelve grown men!

This week we may come across the nasty, scornful, selfish, conniving and the wicked, but God still demands that we love the unlovable.

Get ready to wash some smelly feet too!

It Matters

Monday Morning Coffee©️

Happy Monday people!
This morning your coffee is served hot, and sprinkled with a dose of hard truth, inspired by a message preached by my pastor Tim Roberts yesterday.

It matters how we live.
It matters how we love.
It matters how we give.
It matters how we pray.
It matters what we say.

Most of us never bother to read the fine print, but the things we think don’t matter truly matter to God. Yes! The fine print matters!

There are four scary words we don’t want to hear at the end of our sojourn on earth
….”I never knew you”

It’s time to start living intentionally.

Happy Reflection.

The Right Foundation

Happy Monday people!

Christmas on my mind! In a few weeks our Christmas trees will go up.

It’s funny how the Christmas tree can be erected overnight with colourful baubles and flashing lights, only to be taken down after a month and put back in storage!

The Christmas tree is the only tree that blossoms overnight, without a seed or foundation. Every other tree needs processing time from seed to fruit.

Many people’s lives are like Christmas trees, all glam but no foundation, so don’t envy their fruit!

If your fruit is yet to blossom, something is growing in the soil for you.

….And it’s pretty!

Step Outside!

Happy Monday people!

On Saturday, our women’s group Dinner with Jesus celebrated our 10th anniversary and the launch of my first book.

What started in my living room with a small group of women and amidst such heavy opposition has grown to impact so many lives. Today inspite of the challenges we faced we are all walking in our purpose without regret.

The party is over now, so with our sleeves rolled up and knees bent, it’s back to doing the Master’s business.

Friends! Look around you too! There’s work to be done. The real church is not confined within four walls. It’s out there on the streets!

You don’t need a licence or a collar to do God’s work…. You need Faith!

Step outside!

No More Candy

Monday Morning Coffee©️

Happy Monday people!

I remember it was not too long ago that my children were tugging at my apron strings asking for candy. Today I look at them all grown up and doing great things. This is the joy of every parent.

Sadly most of us still tug hard at God’s apron strings for candy, focused on our mundane wants in the midst of a dying world in need of our help.

Don’t be a fruitless fig tree! You can’t save the whole world but start with one person.

Big Baby! Grow up….The world needs you now!

The Next Upgrade

Monday Morning Coffee©️

Happy Monday people!

When I got the iPhone XR in August, I thought had a great phone, then in just over a month the iPhone 11 was released!

How many unworn dresses and shoes do we have in our closets? Expensive, but now out of date!

Our brand new car loses value the moment we drive it out of the dealership and once a new number plate is released, our car is now an old model!

The truth is that everything we hold dear is flitting and temporary.

“For the fashion of this world passeth away”

1 Cor 7:31

The question is, which of our ‘beloved’ possessions will actually matter to us in 5-10 years time?

Stop living for the next upgrade!

Before It Snaps!

Monday Morning Coffee©️

Happy Monday people!
Another hot mug of coffee served up with some sober reflections!

Connie Kaldor once said: “Life is a thin thread, a thin little hand on a hospital bed and all the things left unsaid”

Recently a close friend went to bed hale and hearty and by the next morning she was in hospital with multiple organ failure fighting for her life! Miraculously she is still here..

If you opened your eyes this morning then you have just received the bonus of a new day.

Life is a gift not a human right!….Don’t take it for granted.

Life is a thin thread….Make it count before it snaps!
