We Made It!

Happy Monday people !

It’s an absolute honour to be serving your first Monday Morning Coffee for 2018!

If you are reading this post this morning then I congratulate you for crossing over!

Now what next? If we survived the myriad of occurences that could have taken our lives last year, then there must be a reason that we made it across ….. unfinished business?

Today rather than make New Year resolutions we will never keep, let’s ask the Lord why we are still here and what He will have us do.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” Eph 2:10

Let 2018 be a year of purposeful living. Find your own purpose and get going.

The Lord is counting on you!

Happy New Year!

Who’s Coming for Dinner?

Happy Monday people!

Today we commemorate the day that Christ stepped into our world!

Christmas trees sparkle in the corner of the living room, wrapping paper strewn across the the floor, and the smell of roasting Turkey fills the air, this is the scene in most homes all over the world today.

Remember that happiness is not in the gift we give or receive because God gave the most perfect gift of all; his only begotten son Jesus.

If you have the privilege of hosting family and friends today, be sure to keep the a special place for Jesus at the head of the table!

Merry Christmas!

The Perfect Gift

Monday Morning Coffee©
Happy Monday people!

What are your plans for Christmas? This year I have the pleasure of hosting my siblings and their families, so this is unarguably going to be a busy Christmas for me.

At the moment my dinning table is strewn with Christmas gifts waiting to be wrapped. This year I chose my gifts carefully, I opted for practical gifts with a personal touch. I want to give the perfect gift…within budget of course!

I don’t want to give just any gift that may be returned or re-wrapped to give to someone else.

In the same way God could have sent us any of the off-duty angels, but he sent His son Jesus because He knew exactly what we needed…..eternal life!

…..The gift of God is eternal life. 1 John 5:11

Jesus! …. The greatest gift heaven can offer!

Merry Christmas xx

Every Rose has its Thorn

Happy Monday people!

I was one of the speakers at the ‘What’s Your Story’ conference in London last Friday. It was an absolute honour to share my story alongside speakers from different corporate and community organisations.

As speakers we were open and unpretentious, revealing a vulnerability that is normally otherwise hidden, we spoke of how our struggles, grief, regrets and pain all led us to finding our purpose.

It was comforting for me to see that I was not alone; we all cried, laughed and then cried again!

Indeed every rose has its thorn and there’s always a story behind the glory!

Will you share your story with someone today?

Good morning.

Time to Walk on Water

Monday Morning Coffee ©
Happy Monday people!
Are you ready to leave your comfort zone?

I met a close friend for lunch at the weekend and it was exciting to hear that after years of deliberation she had finally taken a huge step into the unknown, it had paid off and she was enjoying the adventure.

Two years ago I also made a decision to trust the Lord and walk onto uncharted waters, it was tough, but miracles happened along the way and the Lord surrounded me with wonderful people, today I am walking in my purpose without regret.

How about you? Will you be bold enough to take that first step? What is holding you back?

If Peter had not stepped out of the boat he would never have known he could walk on water!

Moving beyond the safe and familiar is essential for growth.

Take that first step today …..you too can walk on water!

Good morning.

Happy Monday people!
My post today is dedicated to all who are currently going through a wilderness experience. This is a journey that will be travelled by every child of God; one in which we have no choice.

The wilderness is a lonely place, where we will be abandoned by even the closest of friends. It is a place where all we have relied on for help over the years will fail. It is also a place of self-reflection!

Jesus was led by the spirit into the wilderness, so if it was good enough for Jesus then it will be good enough for us too.

We will walk through our wilderness when we have the lamp of God’s word, shining in the dark times, guiding us out step by step. Most people wander in the wilderness because they have no lamp, and sadly some eventually die there like those Israelites who never made it out!

Beyond those undulating hills and unending miles of parched earth is a promised land waiting to be discovered.

Will we wander or walk through?

Good morning.

Choose Right!

Monday Morning Coffee ☕️©
Happy Monday People! Will you need to make any big decisions this week?

On a day like this, just like you, three women made some big decisions.

Jochebed fully determined that Moses will not fall victim to the evil decree of Pharaoh, put him in a basket and placed him by the riverbank.

Miriam obediently stood afar off watching; she never left her look-out spot.

Pharaoh’s daughter came for her daily wash, on seeing this child of destiny she also made a big decision.

We know the end of the story; the individual decisions of three ordinary women preserved the life of a child and delivered a nation!

Every decision we make will impact on the life of others!

……Choose life!

Happy reflection.
